I have about 2 years and 8 months since the build date, and 17K miles on the factory installed Motorcraft orange coolant in my ST.

Does this stuff (or any coolant for that matter) 'wear out', and lose it's 'alkalinity reserve'/turn acidic quicker by time, or by mileage?

Being a full OAT coolant, that coolant isn't even close to needing to be changed yet.

OAT inhibitors deplete very very slowly.

Maybe test the pH every now and again just to verify it's still above neutral, but that coolant probably won't need changing for at LEAST 3 more years.

I go by time. You got another 2-3 years with your gold. I take my "green" coolant to around 5 years and never had a corrosion issue.
