My tractor has a 5/16 inline fuel Filter. And let's face the fact that the tank probably isn't really that clean. No big deal really. Just put a new filter on it once in a while.

I can't find what I consider to be good filtering filter. The last disaster was a see through one from autozone. Our California approved special blend gas ate it!

It swelled up the body. The element came loose and it allowed contaminants into the carburetor. Caused the tractor to shut down with the Gannon down. Stuck in my yard.

I want a filter made in a respectable country. I can't find one. Even the wix 33032 is made in China. Fram, Purolater too. All look to be from the same Chinese factory.

Any ideas to where I can find a decient filter?

My vote would be for a Mahle or Mann for a carbureted VW application.

I used this wix fuel filter on my 6250 watt 10 hp generator : its problem not the size you want, but they make all different sizes. It has lasted a few years with E10 in it.

Here is a 5/16 version

Kubota 12581-43012. Fits several models and is very popular.

Made in Japan. $5 or so at the dealer.

Use a filter base, like the Derale 13005,
then you can use almost any 3/4-16 filter...

https://derale.com/products/filtration/universal2013-10-28-09-53-271133946423/remote-filter-mounts

Small Fram 3614, 3600 or equivalent
Large 16, 8a...

Good ones are Wix XP, small 51516, large 51515...

Ya but I'm just not having luck with the Chinese ones. Maybe I can find nos on eBay or the Kubota one mentioned.

It did when it rained. The gasket where the sender goes was bad.

I like Motorcraft fuel filters. One thing I really like about them is the stainless steel case.

Filter media type would depend if the fuel is pump or gravity driven.

I’d look at Baldwin or Donaldson fuel filters I run those on my John Deere’s.

Have your tried the fuel filter cross reference website.
