Growing up a neighbor had a '66 fastback, a 273 4 speed. I was supposed to buy it when he decided to sell but it was his daily driver for years and the Pa winters weren't kind to the underbody. He did call me but it was too far gone. I wanted that car so bad as a teenager..

That's what I get for looking at this on a 'phone w/ 50+ year old eyes....
Still kind of an stubby looking compressor, maybe the angle, but I do not have a lot of experience w/ vintage domestics.

I think that's some sort of modernized AC compressor. It's not the vintage behemoth piston compressor of that era.
Did this model car ever come with a 426 Hemi ? I had a friend years ago that had a beater Barracuda around 1985, car was 1967-68, with a 426 Hemi. I am positive on the engine, but not 100% sure on the car itself.
