Yeah - like All Turbo! The six is a very nice engine.

The turbo fours and sixes are the sweet spot. They provide adequate power and good economy in the 2, 3, and 4 Series as well as the SUVs up to the X4 as well as the i Performance PHEVs.

The non-turbo N52, an interesting six with no iron liners in a magnesium-aluminum block, was BMW's mainstream engine from 2004-2015. After that, turbos took over.
Wikipedia explains it well:

That's actually the 740e that comes with a combined 2-liter turbo plus an integrated electric motor that starts at around $90K.

The lowest priced base 7-series model (740i) comes with a 3-liter I6 turbo engine.

Who even chooses a BMW 7 series anymore?
Seems to me if you want a bigger lux BMW, you go with an X5 (or now the X7).

Maybe someone doesn't want an SUV, and would rather have a large sedan?

Or reclining (Not the ones just tilt the backrest) and massaging rear seats, how many suvs have that?

Those numbers are steeply declining.

I'd still rather have the sedan. Minority opinion yes, but it's mine.
