Do you use iODB2 ? The reviews from users are pretty lackluster. Just curious.... I might give it a try even though I already have Torque Pro and our son's old Android phone just for this purpose.

I have used OBDFusion and InCarDoc.

Not too extensively but it works in terms of connection to the IPhone.
I used BLE Bluetooth 4.0 (not older bluetooth) OBD adapter or you can get a Wifi adapter.

Is there a similar type app you like for the iPhone?

Thank you,

If I remember right, Bluedriver is an adapter that supposedly works only with iPhone. Maybe try out that one? It is a physical adapter that goes into OBD2 port. What type of app do they have in their store?

Me, I have a cheapie throwaway Android I have that I use just for the free version of Torque. I could go to Torque Pro, but as a basic reader and code clearer, the Torque app with the cheapie Android phone works. The assumption is that because it works through the phone, you need a phone that costs a lot. This is false.
