This oil is VERY hard to find information about. Have any Bitogers ever used it?

It's made in USA so I first thought it might be Warren oil. But I actually believe it might be Citgo after doing some comparisons on PQIA. Here's some links:

In some cases the TBN, Knoack, Calcium, Magnesium,Zinc, and several other additives are either exactly the same or extremely close.

At any rate, it's SN certified and I bought a bunch of it on sale at True Value for $1.99 a quart. I'll use it in my Elantra.

Obligatory.

"Low volatility" at 12.3% NOACK? That's nearly triple what PP 10W30 is.

At $1.99/qt this conventional/blend is no real deal, sorry, when you can get PP for $22.68-$10 MIR = $2.54/qt.

I personally wouldn't use this in a car I was planning on keeping past a lease, but I hope it serves you well. If you happen to get a UOA done on this oil, be mindful of the slightly elevated silicon and potassium which may alter your vehicle's oil profile some.

I would use it in without hesitation. It looks to be a good oil as any oil that has the starburst is.I just never go to True Value very often..been 5-6 years at least. $1.99 per qt is about as cheap as oil gets. Orshlens farm stores here in Lincoln Ne often has Trop Arctic or Shield on sale for 1.99 every month or 2. I still have a full case of Travelers 5w30 for the Forester and about 5 qts of Travelers 5w20 for the Sonata which will last me a long time.

Get some Pater oil to keep Mater company... ;^)

I looked at the d1G2 list and the MM 5W30 has a unique license #, but I did note that the last five characters (HF121) are shared with the license # for Citgo Supergard 5W30.
Meaningful??
I have no idea...also shared with a few others like Harvest King and Motomaster.

If it's API SN or better rated, then I don't see any problem at all using it. Sure, it might not be as good as Pennzoil Platinum .. but honestly who cares if it still meets the required specs for a daily driver?

LOL. First post and I already have a comical misspelling. I was actually going to leave it alone but I think the mods fixed it.

You're referring to the price at WalMart, correct?
I don't shop at Walmart and the next lowest price I've found for PP is at Home Depot ($27.98). After the MIR, I would still be paying about $10 more (inc. tax). That's an additional oil change compared to True Value.
In addition, my Elantra does not require or even recommend synthetic oil.
