Got to delve into the archives of my brain for this one, a 1965 Mini. Non original powerplant, maybe 1,000cc and rod shift, inner CV's...but it's just been through a cert and not picked up, so I'll just play the old guy excuse. Play in all the ball joints, the young guys wouldn't know you can adjust these....15 minutes per joint. I used to work on Minis nearly everyday, certainly at least once a week, so there is not much I haven't done on one. This one is a Morris Mini.

Ah shiming the ball joints, it was a common MoT fail but a cheap fix. Cars that failed could be bought for a song, but sold at market value once a pass was issued.

Yes it was a Warrant of Fitness fail, our version of an MOT test. I also failed it on a fabric tyre. We don't have any age to fail tyres on,only condition, but it was a retread, also not a fail, but with the other tyres being steel belt, the fabric was a fail. It was an old Aquajet, and fabrics were fazed out in the early '90's.

Awesome little car!
Years and years ago a family friend had a 1970's version of one of these as a family car, bright orange. I was in it a few times, but then they traded it in on a 1980 Honda Civic.
Wasn't picked up - are you getting it?
