Trying to help my in-laws with their vehicle. Hope this is the right section for this post. Their 2014 Cherokee 2.4 put on the airbag light and is showing code U0170 lost communication with up front satellite sensor. Vehicle was purchased new, no accidents or anyone messing with wiring. Actually surprised to see it having these issues so soon, only has about 40k on it. Any idea where to start? There seem to be two of these sensors up front, switched them left to right. They are the same part number, and the error code didn't follow the sensor. Wiring doesn't look damaged or altered in any way. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you! That is a great starting point to check on the wiring. Do you know if the terminal positions would be the same on the 2014 Cherokee?
