I posted about these in another thread but figured I would share some pics. These are the same as Snap on sans knurling and name, they are made in the USA and at $75 they are a screaming deal for 5.5-24mm no sizes missing.

The come in a big box with a smaller box inside with plenty of bubble wrap and a card from the person that packed it. It does not have the fancy Snap on packaging that goes in the in anyway.

Trav buying Snappies? Where's the Stahlwille and Hazet?

Just a heads up to anyone trying to buy US made Williams: The US made ones have letters in the product number, where the imports have fully numerical product numbers.

Did you get any Snap On sockets in that set? People who bought Williams on The Garage Journal would sometimes get Snap On stamped sockets although IIRC they were found in 1/4" drive sets.

Plenty of Hazet and Stahlwille, Armstrong, Snap on, Nepros, Dowidat, Easco and others sockets but not a set this complete for this money and I needed some flank drive and surface drives from Nepros.
No SO branded in this set all Williams,

YES! It doesn't need to be your first order, you just need to sign up for their email service. I just ordered some pump parts from Zoro at 2 pm yesterday. They were on my doorstep at 9 a.m. today. Zoro is a mailorder company with ties to W.W. Grainger. It's astounding how most times (not always) their prices on exact same items are much lower than Grainger. As usual, one has to comparison shop multiple companies to find the best deal at any given time.

Thanks Trav for sharing those sockets......very tempting.

What moved me into buying them now is some Williams USA sets are no longer offered like 1/2 metric 6pt standard length, the only version I am finding is the Taiwan version which are the same as Blue Point.
I hope I am wrong but I suspect the USA Williams line is going the way of the dodo.

The same sockets with Snap on branding cost $207 from 8-19mm you have to throw about another $150 at it to get all the sizes included in the Williams USA set.

Trav,

Of the Williams or Snap on Industrial tools listed on Zoro which ones are US Made? At these prices I was going to pick up 3/8 and 1/2 drive impact and chrome sockets deep and shallow in metric and SAE but I will avoid if they're imported.

I'm a sucker for good tools half off what they cost off the truck.

On the item's page click on the specifications tab. It'll list country of origin. A lot of them are imported.

Look at the number, if it begins with letters eg Williams MS-14-10HRC it is USA made and with numbers only it is Taiwan eg Williams 37917.

Check this page or the online catalog for part# and COO then plug the part number into Zoro.

Edit: Do not trust the description and pictures from Zoro they are mostly wrong, go by the other sites and just order by part#, they are dropped shipped by part # .

Trav,

Thanks for the heads up on another great score. Still enjoying my ECS vacuum fill coolant system. Now have a seton metric and SAE deep and shallow sockets coming to the house.

Cheers!

Glad to hear you guys are getting some nice tools for the right money! Top shelf tools are nice but even nicer if they don't cost as much, yes the ECS vacuum tool is awesome, for that money you cant do better IMO and its getting to be an almost must have tool even for DIY.

LOL Me too, these posts cost me a lot of money, but it's money well spent!!

Mine came in the other day too. Packed by the same person that did Trav's order.

I sent the link to a friend who's a diesel mechanic, but apparently the link doesn't work with mobile phones? It just went to a page with individual sockets so I just assumed the deal was over. Odd.
