Engine Restore throw off wear metals in UOA?

Just curious if this using this product means the wear metals tested in a UOA will be distorted?
 
Yes, it has been discussed here years ago. IIRC the soft metals like copper will be higher. I don't believe it will impact iron much if any at all. It will also have a residual impact, the numbers will be off for an OCI or more after usage of the product is stopped.
 
Why bother running a UOA in an old engine that needs this stuff? Just dump your restore, Lucas, motor honey or whatever in and drive it. If you get some extra time out of it than it did its job.

Absolutely it will as do most OTS or third party additives.

When you have a concentration of Lead, Copper, and Silver as in Restore, it is going to skew your results.

Restore is designed for engines with seriously worn rings and Smokers.
