i need an 5w30 syn oil with low noack,(not redline or ams)for a very short trip(4 mile a day)dd 2.5 na mazda skyactive 4cl engine with 20k miles on it that is still under warranty.
now the dealership puts the synblend motorcraft wich is fine i guess but fine is not great.
m1,m1 ep,valvoline syn power or castrol a5?
tnx a lot.

yes from israel, and yes i know even the motorcraft blend will be fine( im doing av of 7500k miles a year so planing to change the oil and filter twice a year beacuse of the daily very short trips) but i cant stand the tought that i have on ok engine oil even tho it will be fine.is there an engine oil Psychologist somewhere?
we have everything besides ams and penzoil.

Engine oil psychologist?

All you need is an oil that meets the manufacturer's requirements for your engine, no psychologist needed. What are the published requirements you have for your vehicle?

Check out petroleum quality institute of America web site
They've tested a ton of different oils and see what compares to what you want in an oil.

Well, actually there is. They tear, and they leak.

M1-EP.
Change not every six months - not yearly either. Instead, change M1-EP every nine months.

ye just read that the m1 ep has all the approvals required and decent noack.

its says in the manual every 6 months or 10k miles under severe conditions btw.
if i change the oil twice a year im safe even with the motorcraft syn blend in the humidity and heat of the middle east and my very short daily trips right?
maybe i over think the intire thing.

Disagree, they have crappy NOACK.

Volatility, mass % loss, 1 hr, @ 250ºC (ASTM D5800) 15 Max 14.2 14.3

You'd be correct sir
But their oil filter is a good filter for one that cost
$4 bucks at WM

That's it's close to the API spec limit?
