So, when would be a good time for me to come up and steal that truck?

Boy isn't that the truth. So happy with my 20 year old truck. Newer ones seem not to be as reliable.

The gaskets didn't make much of a difference. The old ones didn't leak. But the crossover cleaned out means that the old school non-electric choke now works perfect. And THAT makes for a nice running engine, even from stone cold! It really does run like new. Even on the original style ignition and the factory carb, it could pass the "coin balance on the air cleaner" test!

I had an orange half ton like that. Slant 6 AT.
Got it cheap cuz the engine was bad.
Junkyard motor for like $175.
Friends came over (we were drinking beer in those days) and we swapped the motor.
Ran every day.
Sold it a few years later to another friend with a tree company.
Ran every day.

Definitely beats what my 360 looked like when I took the covers off for new gaskets. Ugh, previous owner must have delayed oil changes some and that engine was around 78,000 miles.
