10w and 20w for Winter! Some older GM products ran 20w year-round.

Castrol 20W50 was in my '79 Caprice with 305 V-8 for the majority of its 12 year life before I sold it. That was in Texas summers and north Alabama winters and it never missed a beat even towing a homemade camper. When it was sold with well over 100K on the clock it still ran perfectly. The potential buyer had his mechanic with him (us) on the test ride. The mechanic said he would buy it if the other guy did not. I am a firm believer in this oil in the right application.

My dad used 20w year round in tx. His 55 DeSoto needed the heads rebuilt at some point. He also had a 55 Dodge that lost a rod.

It certainly does have measured cold cranking and MRV values. Most of November through March here could be pretty iffy with it, though.
