Posting this in photos because I scavenged these at the town oil drop off to use for some projects. Of course they won’t be put into automotive use.

The stacked snow tires are P195 width...

No idea of the age, Id have to imagine pretty darn old...

This ad from 1948 sure looks like them.

What if they're repops from the late 70s or early 80s for then-antique vehicles?

I don't think they were stamping dates in them much older than that, but I could be wrong.

The rubber looks pretty good for being so old.

The 3-T designator as I understand indicates three Nylon plies in a tubeless tire.

My suspicion is that they were in somebody's garage in town for a long time, it got cleaned out, and these went to the dump.

The post office here doesnt have any vehicles, so they wouldnt be dumping tires in our little town. Even if they were from a mail vehicle, they would have to be from long ago... The tread profile looks like that 1948 ad!

Nice! I've got an old farm wagon those would be perfect on!

As a little boy fascinated by cars, i remember seeing tires with those Goodyear diamonds on the shoulder back in the early 60’s.

This one looks exactly like the tires on my dad's 1933 Plymouth PD DeLuxe

A little off topic, but I always wondered how (before computers):
they designed tires to have an even pattern around the whole circumference.

You would think at some point the pattern would be smaller OR larger.

+1 on farm trailer use. Some I've seen utilize old car axles and sport ancient hub caps. Very cool.

+ about a 1,000 ...

These are the kind of tires I grew up with on the farm. Bias ply's and we ran them until the started showing cord. Age never mattered. Back in the day, tires did not "age out", they just wore out laugh
