Went to the AC Classic Car Show. Had never gone before. Was neat to see all the old cars, and also interesting to observe some of the warts on some of the ultra low original mileage vehicles.

There were some pretty neat cars there. I was drawn to some of the 80's "personal cars" (full size coupes), wish there were more of the big ones from the 70s too.

Always like the 50's big chrome and two-tone cars. Lots of styling cues that Inwish would come back.

This one was interesting. I don't know much about how antique paint ages, but I'd almost guess it was painted to look aged... or else they did a really good job of glazing and shining up the eroded paint and rusty primer.

That Pontiac Firebird is interesting. Had to do a little research, but Pontiac offered a OHC 6 cylinder in certain 66 thru 69' models.

It may be real, But it didn't age like that in the northeast!!.....More Texas-Oklahoma-New Mexico type patina? I would've like to see more of the high traffic areas like the bottoms of the side windows where people would hang their arm out, The rockers below the doors, And where the hood latch is.

Clinebarger and JHZR2: I've been told people clear coat over the rust after they sand or clean it up or make it look little better. That's my guess

I have heard of clear coat over rust. But if you look at the third pic the ford emblem at the bottom right corner. The " rust" is not around/ inbetween the the ford emblem letters. So that makes me think its paint that looks like rust.

Maybe it's because it's something not typically seen in good condition anymore, especially at car shows with exotics, but for some reason, the most interesting vehicle to me in those pics is the 1977(?) black Ford F150 and its aggressive but not overly aggressive lift and tires.

I always liked those old truck styles... I liked the fact that there were lots of everyday classics there...

Great mix of vehicles, from obscure classic American through a Euro spec Land Rover pickup. Nice, thanks for posting.

Odd thing, way back in the conservation land behind us, 1+ mile away from any road, there is what may be a Lemans w/ the Pontiac OHC6. The car is nothing but twisted rusted steel with trees growing through it, but the engine is sitting upright and recognizable. No idea of the story, but a sad waste of an unusual car.

Some cool stuff there for sure...

Shame about the fake patina on the Ford... Clearing over real patina I sorta get, painting fake patina - I don't get at all.

Shame about the wheels on the blue Galaxie too...
