Hit -38F here last weekend and the sled was a bear to start, would barely crank over even on jumpers from the truck. Looking for a better option for a cold weather oil than the yamalube that's in there, not sure if the shop put in the 0w-30 or the 0w-40 variety all I do know is that it wasn't flowing well. Is there something out there with better cold weather startup properties?

If you could...... please post the page of the owner's manual that says what oils Yamaha is suggesting?

Also..... never, ever, ever, ever "jump off" OPE or powersports from a RUNNING car/truck - - it almost always burns out the voltage regulator

Manual calls for a wet clutch safe SF, SG, SE 0w-30. Only reason for the wet clutch thing is for the starter clutch. Looking for the best cold performance 0w-30, so far it sounds like Mobil 1 but looking for more input.

We've been jump starting sleds for years, none of our group has ever had an issue with a voltage regulator going out. Not sure why it would damage them, it's the proper voltage and the system will only take as many amps as it needs. If it can cause issues we've managed to avoid it on the last 25-30 sleds that have rotated through over the years.

All powersports made today have 12v systems, which is the same as cars and trucks made today. Shouldn't hurt to jump either off the other.
