Hello all,

Attached is a UOA from my father's 2017 Nissan Pathfinder (personal car).

90% city driving.

Current fill is Pennzoil Platinum 5W-20 Full Synthetic + Fram filter.

What do you think? Oil change will be done @ 5K intervals as per owner's manual.

Take care

Iron seems high for the mileage, especially considering that Blackstone's universal averages are 2x LESS.

Maybe consider a magnetic oil drain plug to help catch some?

Maybe a better oil filter?

What Fram model are you using?

5W-20 in thread title, but 0w-20 is listed on form. Which is correct?

The iron is a bit higher than it should be but the mileage on the engine isn't high enough either to be fully worn in IMO, so it could just be taking longer to come down. There are other UOA's like this.

I would run another UOA to compare as it could also be an anomaly in this report that doesn't repeat. Nothing to panic about though.

The silcon and insolubles for such an short OCI along with the iron show dirt is entering through the air intake.

Hello all

My bad it is 0w-20 as shown in the report.
I will check the air intake and fix the leak.

Oil filter was Fram XtraGuard I believe.
