(NEW) Wix 51522 Cut Open

Was planning on running this filter but I dropped it carrying it into the house. It likely would have been fine but it's not really my style so enjoy the pictures. I thought it was interesting that they put a bypass valve blank in instead of more media.

They put the dummy bypass valve spacer in there because the media element is probably the same one used in cans with the bypass valve. Don't have to engineer and manufacture a special sized element that way. It's got a ton of media area anyway, as you've found. Thanks for the C&P.

I use those on my car and truck. Well worth a trip to O'Reilly. Maybe the factory has an outlet store you can go to since you live in the same state those are made.
