I had bought some Pennzoil 0W40 when WM had it on clearance, to use in our oil-burning 3.8 Chrysler. We traded in the van, but I still have some of the oil left. Trying to decide which vehicle to use it in. Would you think it would be more suitable in the '06 Liberty 3.7 or the '07 Silverado 5.3? Both vehicles spec 5W30, and that's what I run in both.

I'm about to do similar. I will blend two quarts of 0W20 Supertech with four quarts of Castrol 0W40 in my six quart Colorado.

It's not blending, it's mixing.

Blenders know what their raw ingredients are, the things that the ingredients do, and test the outcomes.

I have 4 qts of Pennzoil Euro 0W40 as well, I would like to add 4 more qts of 0W20 for use in my 2015 5.3 Silverado. Can I use Mobil 1 or should I get more Pennz?

Thanks

0w40 can have a fair amount of VM's … personally I'd not mix and use in the 5.3L …
My 2010 5.3L saw 5w30, 5w40 and 15w40 …
