First check for this vehicle, looks good so far. This run had:

1400 miles towing, approximately 5000 pounds. 20%
1200 mile road trip including some light off road. 17%
1800 miles mostly highway commute. 26%
2600 miles short trips. 37%

Planning 11-12k for the current run.

What's with the high Al in some of these Toyota 4.0 reports?

Note: Blackstone said 7400 miles, it should have been 7000.

Good catch - this is the old formulation, with high calcium. Working my way through the old to get to the new and will post that when I get it in a year or so...

Are you referring to a different report? Because 4ppm at 7000 miles isn't high IMO, especially compared to universal averages at only about 2/3 the mileage.

I use the overseas owner's manual to choose my oil.

Using AMSOIL

Agree... essentially 0.5ppm Al per 1k miles is almost zero.

It doesn’t get much better than that. Very low numbers despite that you gave the engine a workout towing.

Cannot see signatures any longer so it doesn’t matter.

Correct, old formula. I do not know if was tested for Dexos or not.

The high calcium is the telltale for "old" formulations.

Half decent oil combined with a low wearing Toyota engine will render these results. Nice.
