While I'd never buy a Ford DCT vehicle, the funny thing is their depreciation doesn't seem too bad.

According to the San Diego area Honda dealers and the ALG,
Civic LX Sedan has 50% residual value after 36 mo, 35% after 60 mo.
Corolla LE ECO CVT 47% after 36 mo, 34% after 60 mo.
Cruze LT Auto is 39% after 36 mo , 28% after 60 mo.
Focus SE is 35% after 36 mo, 25% after 60 mo.

Focus has least value but it's not a bloodbath compared to a Cruze and both are well below ToyOnda.

Only Ecoboost with major issues was the short lived 1.5 in the Fusion and Escape.

BEST decision! There's no way in [censored] I'd buy a car (especially a new car) that's sitting on the showroom floor already broken down.

Agree.

So I have a Nissan Altima, 2007 SL, top of the line with 84000 miles. Been in the family since new. It has been sitting outside for 2 years and 9 months. Don't get me started as to why.

New used junkyard wheel, 100.00

New tires, 426.00 installed at BJs, BFGs with 60k warranty. (taken 2 at a time off vehicle)

Air Filter/wipers. 46.00

New battery, walmart evermax 97.00

New battery hold down rod, 8.00 nissan

New key fob batteries. 6.00

683.00 dollars spent

Turn the key, or I mean push the button. No new gas, nothing. It starts immediately, like I shut it off 5 minutes ago. I'm amazed,

Take it for a 1.5 mile drive easily, brakes are all grinding from rotor surface rust, which stops soon.

Then exhaust opens up.

So I am hoping to change the oil, get the exhaust looked at, and be done.

Heated leather seats, BOSE stereo, backup cam, big touchscreen, factory nav, factory xm, sunroof, 290hp. Now new tires, wipers, battery.

I am thinking the oil change and exhaust will save me a lot over a new car. Plus, it won't be a Ford.
