How dirty is the one you're replacing? If it is really dirty, then sooner than you've been doing. There are flow gauge specs I'm sure. But generally depends on your driving conditions.

Mann Mahle Hengst are all OEM manufacturers. Follow the book for the air filter interval, usually its 40k or so.
