1997 Suzuki LTF250 Quadrunner.
Problems:
- left side tire has uneven wear.
- inner u-joint protector is rubbing on engine case bolt
- Final drive output engine case seals leaking
U-joints seem tight, no play. The final drive shaft splines don't seem to be worn, neither is the inner u-joint splines, the Final drive bearings seem to be tight, so how is the u-joint protector rubbing on a engine bolt? the inner u-joint just slides on the final drive splines and a "C" spring holds it on.
I am thinking on removing the "C" spring, then slide on the inner u-joint, and try to wiggle, then use the U-joint on the other side and see if there is a difference in play?
Thoughts?
Video of a similar shaft below, Maybe my "u-joint timing" was off one spline tooth?
