Motiva is the front runner to replace PDVSA as operator of the Isla refinery on Curacao. This refinery has been shut down since May due to court judgments against PDVSA nationalizing other projects over the past 10 years or so. Also, further expansion of the Motiva Port Arthur facility previously planned ny Saudi Aramco is now on the back burner. Good news for the island's economy, further reduction in available refining capacity for PDVSA.
