Pulled the stick on my two TDI's yesterday and found my daily driver about halfway down the crosshatch with 7k miles on this change . The daughters car was right at the top of the crosshatch so just slightly lower than it was when I changed it 3k miles ago. Both cars with 6 liters just cover the crosshatch. Figured I would buy a quart and top it off to make sure at 10k miles I'm not low. Anyhoo, I looked at walmart, menards and autozone and none of them had any 504.00/ 507.00 spec oil in 5W30. I could go to the dealer but I may just order my next round of oil online for the annual change on both cars and buy an extra liter for the topoffs between now and April if needed. Is there a national chain that has 504.00/507.00 5W30 on the shelf?.

Napa might. Liqui Moly Top Tec 4200 5W30 Part number on Napas website is AIC LM2011

ECS Tuning.com might have something. Some dealers stock quart bottles of the proper oil and not all dealers charge $14.99 a quart.
If you live in Wyoming, thank goodness for online shopping which is probably your best route.

Pep Boys has M1 ESP 5w30

Advance Auto Parts and Carquest have Castrol Edge European Diesel.

Napa carries Liqui-Moly, and they have a 504/507 oil. Napa part number LM2011 (5L), LM2004 (1L). If your local Napa doesn;t carry it, they can order it with no problem

You can also get Total Quartz Ineo on Amazon

No pep boys here. Napa is a thought. Probably mail order some Ravenol.

Pennzoil 504/507 in 0w30. Common at Canadian Tire just a bit north of Wyoming in Alberta. There's been a lot of interest in 504/507 lately; some for gas engines and some for diesels.

When did 504.00/507.00 become 0W30? Notice there isn't a VW approval

I'm certainly not the expert but the 504 is a gas engine rating and I believe there is both a 5w30 as well as 0w30. The 507 rating is the diesel specification number for the same oil.

Certainly 50400 50700 covers 0W30 as well, as like Shell Helix Ultra ECT C2/C3 0W30 .

If you have Advance Auto parts there, they stock the Pennzoil Euro 0w30 VW 504/507 oil that is Snagglefoot posted a picture of. As mentioned Napa is a good bet too.

Agreed, you could waste a lot of time driving around..... Or have NAPA order it for you

My local NAPA sells Valvoline XL-III which is a VW 504.00/507.00 product. I buy it in 5 gallon boxes but that's likely more than you'd need. If you have the desire to keep it on hand at home then it is a bit more economical to purchase in this manner (works out to $6.75/quart).

NAPA's part number for this product is VAL881058.

I hate my local Napa, they want 155 for that box at my wholesale pricing, they say list is 270 for 20 quarts!!! Going to switch to another one the next town over, their pricing is much better, along with them not fighting you for warranty/incorrect parts.
