In my local area this sells at Canadian Tire for $7.39. The MSDS says it's made by Citgo. Citgo's website says their Transmax Dexron VI is approved and licenced by GM. The next option seems to be Napa Premium selling at $9.93 (napa Canada), and prices go up dramatically from there.

Thoughts on MM Dex6?

Regardless of whether Citgo manufacturers it for CT or not, the product has to have a license number. I'd look for one on the back label.

Assuming it is actually licensed dexron-VI then one would be hard pressed to identify any one licensed fluid as being better than another.

I've used their Dex/Merc/ATF+4 in friends applications (supplied by them) and have had 0 issues on high mileage vehicles.
I do think there is better products out there for the prices they are charging though, but I wouldn't hesitate in using it.

Their OE labelled house branded ATF's are licensed.

How much do you need? If you just need a couple litres, that's good enough pricing. If you need a bunch, check with a Shell, Imperial Oil, or Petro-Canada distributor for their pricing.

Here it is.

Also check out what PetroCan has. They make licenced Dex 6 (I believe it was also the ACDelco branded Dex 6 as it was the same bottle). The Duradrive LV is also suitable for use as Dex 6. I know the higher viscosity Duradrive runs around that 7.32$ a liter before tax.

As I write this I see Garak beat me to it. Darn him and his stuff.

This would be an acceptable ATF and the PDS says:
Quote
CITGO TRANSGARD DEXRON-VI ATF is recommended for use in automatic transmissions manufactured by General Motors.

but nowhere do I see a license number, so without a license number they cannot say it is "approved" by GM.

It could also be the approval is forthcoming and not yet on GM's list.

Yes but I believe this stuff was licensed as a Dexron VI rebrander when GM provided a list of Dexron licensed fluids.
