You know there is a rivalry between us on who will take their civic farther in mileage. You got more but I got more faster thumbsup I use the Greddy so it's got a SCCA certified. I think Skunk2 makes a set too. I thought about going to redline 0w30 but first I need to at least upgrade the valves and springs and add a small turbo or 35nos before I go up another weight. Happy Honda Days!!!!

It's been 3,000 miles now since the Barr's anti-leak tabs were introduced to the cooling system.

The overflow bucket remains at the full mark.

The photo above should have read, valve adjustment. Only one intake valve was a little tight, all the others were OK.

I read somewhere that as an engine gets older, there is less of a need to adjust the solid lifters.

Blackstone Labs; The Particle Counts read a bit cleaner this time, at 15/14/12. Maybe that's because this was a shorter oil change,
though you had a sample with just under 10,000 miles on it with a higher PC. Maybe you did something different with filtration. In any
case, this is a good PC reading. Wear looks great too. We're still seeing potassium, and silicon is higher, though neither one seems
to be causing any wear problems. We're not sure if potassium is coolant or not, but if it is, some engines can go ages without that ever
developing into a full-blown issue. Check back

StevieC, you're welcome.

I just wanted to note that the copper level dropped from 6ppm to 4ppm. I didn't use any Techron fuel system cleaner this time.

The high silicon level is probably due to the valve adjustment that I had done recently.

the Silicon level for the universal average should have been 11, not the121 shown in the above OCI report.

It seems it's not affecting iron wear which is the important part. Your still within the safe OCI zone at 15K.

make the inside of your engine oil cap white.
don't use.
