Cant get a strait answer on weather or not i need to add SCAs to standard low silicate coolant in my perkins 4 CYL that runs my Lincoln Electric Classic 300D. i have to put in a new radiator so might as well do a flush and fill. Anyone reccomend a ELC for this application? I does NOT have a recovery bottle so im tempted to keep the standard green for ease of refill down the road

John Deere CoolGuard II from the local dealer is just the ticket, its a diesel rated long life coolant suitable for almost anything including mixed metal and plastic.
I have been using it for the last 10 years (starting with CG I) in everything from diesels, all iron engines with copper cores, all aluminum engines with aluminum cores and plastic tanks, etc and never had any issues or corrosion.

I have much stock on the Ford low silicate conventional antifreeze that works in most of all the older diesels, Just wondering if i needed to add SCA's to the system
