Mixing Castrol edge with magnatec?

Hi there, so in short I have Castrol Magnatec in my engine, is it okay to mix with Castrol Edge?

After about 4000 miles with 5w40 Magnatec a3/b4 my car has burnt about a dipstick worth of oil and I have a closed 1Litre bottle of 5w-40 Edge and was wondering if they could be mixed. Here are the specs for both.

My first question is - what kind of car is this going in? That could make a difference, at least in terms of oil certifications.

Odds are, it probably would be just fine, but it would help to know what demands will be placed on it.

Okay some more info, it is a vw 1.2 Litre Turbo gasoline engine (europe I know

) and calls for vw 502 (for my driving contitions) , I know both are right for the car, just wondering about the mixing part, but by you guys seems to be fine, thank you!

I mix the two together regularly. Have the mix in my chevy work van and it loves it.

I mixed magnatec 0w20 with 1 qt edge and Lubegard Biotech. I think I uoa'd it and posted too. Did a PUP 0w20/5w20 with Liquimoly Ceratec and Motor Oil Saver too. One coming up is 1 qt PUP 0w20, 1 qt 5w20 PPHM, 1.5 Redline 0w20, 120mL archoil 9100 and leaving Fram Ultra filter on.
