If you need a cheap SUV, try looking at a Hyundai or Kia. Their V6 motors are reliable.

Sometimes I just don't get this place.
Why would someone eschew a one owner car with maintenance records in favor of some unknown mythical cheaper car from a private seller... When the nice car hits the market, you have to go for it or someone else will.
Don't get me wrong I love Fords but I think a Focus (or a Cobalt) would be worse choices, maybe if they were quite a bit cheaper and still had one owner records, but...
200,000 on a Honda doesn't worry me at all if it has been well maintained...
Yes the element won't get very good fuel economy... but other than that...
