Last question as I have pretty much exhausted my options.

I been reading a lot of people use caltex delo for their turbo diesel motors... Is there any difference between that and delvac MX?

I found something online called oils aint oils or something and it talked about wear marks/scuffing and what not...

These oils are 15w 40 vs the synthetic 5w counterparts, how would that translate in wear protection on cold start up? I dont want the engine going earlier than it should due to wear from cold startups.

Anyway delvac MX/delo or even Shell equivalent which and why?

Caltex/Chevron Delo, Mobil Delvac 1300 or MX, or Shell Rotella T4 (may be Helix in AU?) 15W40 are all great motor oils for diesels, would work fine in any 4 stroke diesel you needed to operate. How cold does it get in Australia? Can't imagine much below 0C there!

I have seen diesel engines started successfully at -30°F = -34°C on 15W-40

What kind of "cold starts" do you get in Oz ?!?!?!?!?!
