I am looking for a surge protector/power strip with individual switches for my computer and peripherals. The problem with all the power strips I find is that the outlets are too close to each other and I can use only every other outlet because the power supplies are too big. I only see one kind of powerstrip for large power supplies. It is semi-circular, which is fine but it does not have individual switches. Any suggestions?

I just hook lots of cheap ones together, after one "GOOD one" to feed them..

It isn't neat... but it works.

Would short extension cords help with your brick type power adapters?

I can't find any with individual switches.

That will work! I saw similar towers but none had switches. I'll buy two of those. Thanks for the suggestion.

I do like that power tower idea, too. The little short extension cords are very clever, too, but I imagine they'd be better off used in moderation, with respect to cable salad, as you indicated.
