Turner Motorsports has it for ~$25 a liter.

I would probably opt for Red Line D6 at $12.95 a quart.

This kit will have everything you need for a PROPER fluid/filter service on your ZF 6-speed:

https://www.thectsc.com/products/oil-change-kit-for-bmw-hyundai-187-61.html

6 bottles of fluid, a new oil pan (the filter is built into the pan), new one-time use bolts, new sealing sleeve and a new fill plug.

I've had Pentosin ATF1 in mine for the last 12,000 miles with no issues. I would have tried maxlife, but from the research I did the viscosity of the Pentosin was closer to lifeguard 6.

Many choices to choose from, Reading a few posts from another forum some have used Mercon SP successfully?

According to slacktide_bitog (and some other folks on here), all stepped-gear automatics should be filled with Maxlife or the cheapest available "synthetic" universal ATF. Supposedly, there is no difference in ATF specs and it is all the same stuff....

Yes it does. But take into consideration that ZF6 is true synthetic gear oil. It is expensive, but IMO it is worth.
Unless you are doing flush (which you should not) use ZF6 so you do not mix oils. It is transmission oil and you are not changing it often.
