We know Toyota makes a reliable CVT (so far anyway), so I would imagine this is the next step. Hopefully they are just as reliable.

The cvt's I've driven have been okay for me in most cases. The only times I've cursed them is when I had to accelerate quickly like at a yellow light or a short freeway on-ramp. The lag was just too much. But they do get better each year
