Quick blotter test, hoping this isn’t antifreeze.

Finalizing my donor engine for install and decided to test my old oil. It smells kind of odd, like that stale air from a tire valve type smell instead of earthy/carbon mixture. Not terribly runny but my main concern is the large outer ring on the oil.

The compression is excellent, (4 cyl at 210, 2 cyl at 190) at 76k miles but there's always the lower intake gaskets to worry about.

Turns out there is some traces of fuel, nothing serious. Engine came from a vehicle that was rear ended and had frame damage.

Was going to suggest fuel dilution. The slightly lighter outer ring makes me think there's some fuel in there.
