Just thought i would share info i recived from Baldwin on monday about theses two filters.

B164 Media grade L3-130 760 sq" B15=75
B50 is the same with only 579 sq" of media.

Saw some older post talking about much higher ratings.

Looks like Ill need to keep looking if i want a better spin on. (without getting the ea100)

They are just "OK" a little better than a fuel flow,

and not as good as some fuel/hydraulic filters (many fuel filters are only good to 10 μ, anyway)

I do run one (it's actually a Hastings LF334) before the oil goes to my "finer" bypass oil filter.

Also - don't forget - - - the slower the oil flows through the media, the better it traps contaminates.

After I said all of that - I doubt you'll see any benefit from running a bypass oil filter. We shall all see, I suppose.

I think the info I got was 15μ absolute...

and about 5 micron nominal (50%)

That's no too bad.

Not as good as the good 'ol roll of TP, though....

Not bad though for a: sandwitch adapter ($23),remote mount ($35), B50 filter ($7.50) hoses, clamps and one swivel fitting ($28) for a set up on one of my trucks. I'll take 15u absolute and 5 nominal at 50% any day. I do run TP filters as well, but the Baldwin B50 does provide good results for the low cost of a total setup.
