As promised in my other thread about these filters being damaged in shipping, I offer to the collective a dissection of a Ford Racing FL820S. This filter got dropped on it's head hard in transit, and had a big dent. Opening it up confirmed my suspicions of damage. The leaf spring was bent. This is why I don't use dented filters. This thing had to have taken a blow, because the cam is crazy thick. Specs state they have a 625 psi burst rating. Other points include but are not limited to;

-Incredibly thick baseplate
-Glass/Cellulose media
-Silicone ADBV
-Silicone gasket
-Base end bypass
-Says Ford Racing on it, because... Racecar

Enjoy the pics. All comments welcomed and encouraged!

Made in USA proudly emblazoned right on it.

I actually misspoke about the media in the first post. It's not glass/cellulose. It is synthetic polymer/cellulose.

Looks like a Champion (Labs built) to me! Just missing the RP style full syn media, it reminds me of the Luberfiner Imperial XL filter (which is mainly a medium/HD diesel filter).

Yeah, white is very hard to photograph though, unfortunately.
