Despite the poor iron report on my STI (Link here), my beater Echo is wearing exceptionally well!

Two reports here, first one Mobil EP, second one Castrol Edge, both 5w30. I added a bit of MOS2 to the Castrol Edge hence the moly.

And I only got a TBN on the second report seeing as it was the longer run.

Tribute to Toyota engineering and manufacturing .......
Very good metal wear rates with both oil types.

Edit: Thanks for sharing.

Yes very impressed with the fuel economy and reliability of this car. Shes not pretty or exciting but we hope to drive her till the end of her days, so its nice to see some near perfect reports coming up on 250,000 kms.

If my experience is any indicator you should have some life left in your vehicle. Mine hasn't had any sort of mechanical failure yet, still on the original starter, water pump and alternator. I changed the clutch about 10,000 miles ago.

Retired my 2003 earlier this year with 417K miles; original starter, PS pump, alternator, clutch; at that point burned oil; never left me on the side of the road.

A bunch of calipers and 1 exhaust system with converter and 1 coil.

Best dang car I've ever owned from a cost of acquisition and ownership. I'm sure yours will bring you continued years of glee.

Just a wheel bearing and transmission fluid so far here with 40,000 kms of ownership.
