Took the time today to install new valve stem seals and new upgraded lost motion assemblies from Honda. I included a comparison pic of the new and old lost motion assemblies

Cool, but can you explain the new versus old parts a bit? the coil spring is the old tech? the machined piston the new? What is the cost of the parts for this update?

The new parts are actually the springs. The older hydraulic types had a tendency to stick over time and cause excess valve noise. My car being a 99 likely had updated parts as I had no valve noise but since I had it apart I wanted to put the newest style in. The set of eight was $100. The engine does sound slightly quieter but probably due to a valve adjustment that's required after pulling the cams.
