Should I run 2 OCIs to make UOA more accurate?

New to me F150.
Oil when I got it was dealer bulk.
I changed with MC blend 5W20 and will soon be changing again.

Although I have a crapload of Miles semi synthetic 5W30 I would be willing to stick with MC for the second OCI and then test if that will give me more accurate results.

Looking to test at 8k or so.

Matter?
If it made it "much more" accurate I think it would.

If it doesn't make much difference then no.

Depends on what you are trying to ascertain.

If the milesyn is what you intend to run in it, then that is what I would run, it may take a couple of OCI for the additives to stabilize ...

It is a good idea to always send in a VOA of the current oil you will be using and then do UOA's for trending results.

After the first short run with the initial MC, I recommend for subsequent sampling you sample at 3.5k at first and then if the oil looks ok, go for a 7k sample.

This totally depends on what your process method is and what your goal is.

If you intend to compare/contrast your data to macro data, then it does not matter, and you'll be fine.

If you intend to make some kind of conclusion regarding these two lubes relative to one another, then you need 30 UOAs of each to make a statistically viable decision. After you run 60 UOAs, you'll be able to declare one "better" than another.
