If Almirola or Elliot manage to pull off an upset win in this race, it's going to have the big 3 sweating pretty bad.

That would be awesome and what the whole "win and you're in" thing is all about.

Harvick does a Polish Victory Lap, takes a selfie with a kid he pulled from the stands, gives him the checkered flag, and then does an epic burnout. Bowyer and Blaney have to step up their game.

You do know that back even in the early to mid 1990s it was typical to have only 4-10 cars on the lead lap at the end of a race. In fact Geoffrey Bodine lapped everyone except Mark Martin and Rusty at North Wilkesboro in 1993 I believe. And Kyle Petty lapped everyone at Rockingham in the 1990...

Yet the stands we're generally filled. Racing was much more real then.... No lucky dogs... No stupid wave aroundss... Not many unnecessary caution flags either... In fact that was actually a focus of NASCAR in the late 80s into early 90s.

Racing became all too much about "everyone" being equal.. it also has suffered from too much NASCAR rules kind of like big government... Also.. too much money got sucked into it... Thus turning it into a unsustainable formula eventually for all parties involved... Here's a novel concept... Get rid of MAJOR sponsors on those cars.... You aka the drivers and teams get paid where they actually finish... In each race individually. When race drivers and trans no longer paid all too much attention to what they actually won in the prize purse for the race they had just run.. Everyone should have known something was WAY amiss... It equalled DMS to them... Meaning Don't Mean number2... They got paid from their stupid sponsor contracts.... Again... Get rid of sponsors on those cars... Drivers and teams get paid from the prize purse from the races sponsoring the race and the track holding the race... Get rid of stupid "playoffs"... Get rid of stupid races in stupid places.... Texas being one of them by the way... Go back to basics.. Go back to tracks like North Wilkesboro... Rockingham... Or new small tracks like South Boston Va... Or the many, many other small tracks across this country... Cut the stupid schedule down too. Way and I mean way too many races on the schedule... Cut it to 29 from the current 36... Cut all ties to Speedway Corporation.. or at minimum make agreements with races at tracks that are in places where it makes sense. Another thing... Get rid of the current World Champion running NASCAR... He's a complete and utter failure. Get someone like Tony Stewart or someone else to run NASCAR. Get rid of all the simulation testing.. Cut the teams down in size.. Use other means to cut the $$$ needed to actually go racing. Get tracks to understand that people coming there need to be able to camp out there. Way cheaper than $$$ hotel rooms.

Also.... Here's a novel concept... Let REAL food vendors come in a make real good food at those tracks... Here is an idea I'd have.. Say at Martinsville... Have Kingsford be a race sponsor.. Then have a pulled pork BBQ competition that same weekend at the track/grounds... Have a very large field of competition levels.. And have vendors from all around come in and make and sell their BBQ... This helps make the race weekend a bigger experience... Great food... And this would help enhance that experience a lot. Make another race a beer sponsor... But also have other manufacturers and local Brewers come in has well... Same concept.. This would really help with the overall experience.

There are so many things wrong with how things have been done for a long time. A number of simple things can be done to make things different.
