Bought some grease at a thrift store.

I paid $2. Was that a good deal and what are some things I could use it for?

Moly = good for sliding surfaces that lack bearings.

I remember similar grease stickers from the army a while ago, but it wasn't moly grease.

According to this, it's a soft NLGI 2 grease, which puts its thickness right in the middle of where you would expect most automotive greases to be. Of course it's out of date, so some drying/thickening may have occurred.

I wouldn't hesitate to use it on all the greasable plain bearings and bushings of my zero turn, as Ready45 noted.

Like others have said, Moly grease is great in plain bearings, though I'll use it for regular wheel bearings and U-joints without hesitation.

I use JT6 in boat trailer bearings … it's almost clear so if there is ever a problem it would look like that grease does now

If its a 5% moly no way I would use that in wheel bearings or U joints. Look at any of the big grease manufacturers of 5% moly grease, all specifically say not to use it in wheel bearings.
