What is the sulfur content of the Shell 95 you are using, any idea?
 
Very shear stable oil, low metal wear rate.
Just curious, why is very short OCI at 8500 km , whilst MB 229.5 approval oil is long life up to 30,000 km in Europe ?

Thank you for posting. What year is your car?

You have the 140 hp Z18XER engine, my Astra has the previous 123hp Z18XE engine.

Your report looks fine, my owners manual says I can do 15,000 km oil change interval (OCI), but I tend to change it every 10,000 km running often running 10W40 A3/B4 semi-synthetic. I'm sure I could go further if I wanted to.

nobody use OCI at 30,000 km in Russia, its marketing

..... B Stone has backed that up with numerous UOA's of differing oil types and engine types , which I interpret as a valid claim or proposition, never mind OEM's 'drop from the sky' arbitrary figures.
