That filter would probably have torn in service

You are welcome and I bet you are correct

MC filters are an enigma.
New in your hands they reek of quality and the color white is pleasing.
After you open them used or not they are pretty crappy...
Thanks Adam!

I have used, and cut open 3 or 4 of them, and they all looked just fine.

I would be using one now, but people keep them out of stock at my local Walmart store. Last time I was in there the Motorcraft filter pickings were getting slim. Might be discontinuing them at my store.

Dunno about that as my two Wal marts that are small have fresh, full stock of MC

Stepdad in Denver NC which has TINY Wal mart said tons of MC filters there too.

If that concerned; try Rural King as they have MC filters

I've seen from other C&Ps here wide or wider seams but no tears. Maybe this MC filter will be good for 6 months or 5,000 mile OCIs.

Probably would be ok for 4-5k

Too bad. It looks pretty good except for the might tear part

Lol, the dark warm smelly goup gets pretty deep around here sometimes. That is a perfectly fine looking filter. Imagination, although at times has brang about the greatest of accomplishments and discoveries, can be truly laughable to observe in some people.lol.

Another pic of a 910 I cut open. No tears with this or any of the other 910s I have used for the last umpteen years.

Perhaps, but I honestly doubt it. I've opened an FL910s or two, and although the pleats had a similar layout to the one shown above, I did not find any tearing. Maybe I'm just lucky, or the Phoenix heat comes into play.

I see Tig has had similar experience.
