Nothing in can like rust or anything bad and i dont know why the stain is on filter media

Yeah, i wouldnt use a E CORE on anything. Thats my thought
 
The top filter looks exactly like an AC Delco E core filter. I've used them but I wouldn't ever think about doing an extended OCI with one
 
That stain on the media looks a little like the mark they put on cash register receipt paper to let the operator (cashier) know that it's time to change the media (paper roll). You would think that Champ's assembly line is automated, but I guess someone has to keep the media feeds full. Who knows.

These are exactly the same filter as the AC Delco ecore. GM says they are good for an entire OCI per the OLM, so 7000-8000 miles?
