Wix filter with dome magnet cut open

About 5,000 miles on this filter. Grand Marquis has 145,000 miles. I have had this magnet for years and I can tell the magnetism isn't as strong as it used to be. It still collected some metal however.

No. I put a Fram Ultra and PP high mileage oil in it this time

No. Actually that was sold as a oil filter magnet.

I got a big round one like that from Harbor Freight that's about the same diameter. Says it has 95# of pull. I might stick it on the Odyssey, as the Napa 1516 on the Fusion actually sits against the plastic belly pan. Odyssey has about 3/8" of room.
