Fram Ultra with Filter Mag cut open

Yup even the best spin ons aren't going to catch it all. looks like some notable buildup on the outside most elements.

This is my go-to setup on my trucks at this stage- FU and a filtermag.

Id prefer all those iron shavings right there vs going through my timing chain pins and bushing and high pressure/shear parts like the DI pump.

- it is is doubtful that was caught on the first pass so it already went round at least once through the parts.

I thought the Fram Ultra had a mesh around the pleats.
Is that a Tough Guard ?

But anyway, I also use the Fram Ultra with the Magnets.

The mesh is on the inside.
Ultra has metal endcaps, TG has fiber endcaps.
