I take a supplement called Mentality also

This works for me!

Talk radio, coffee or pop, for me. I tend to prefer long drives at night, given that's the way my body is after all these years. A drive in the day, that's where I have trouble staying awake.

HAhahaahaha

I've been a truck driver for about 2 million safe miles and the key is getting decent sleep on a regular pattern. Since I don't have a regular pattern, when I work nights I take an Ambien 9 hours before my shift so I can sleep straight for 7-8 hours.

If you are one of the haulers I see on 294, driving with a purpose...
RESPECT!

Those guys are not asleep on the job!

There is no replacement for rest.

Sleep well the night before the trip. Eat breakfast, have coffee if that's your thing. Stay hydrated the entire time.

Hah, I don't drive trucks but I'm sure those guys are hauling [censored] just to get off 294 as fast as possible lol.

I start my drive as early as 4AM. Drive through the day. Stop about 9PM. Well before I start getting tired.

Works well for me, as I'm not tired in the morning.

No problem....grab a few of these banknotes....and lean your hand trough the window while you are driving

it works 105%

Update:
first the funny (kind off): what do you get after 4 X 5-hour energy, one black coffee, and 2 X energy drinks?

a 27 hours shaking idiot.

second: what do you get from: one pillow, one hour of sleep/reset, only one energy drink and lots of water.
same road drive back, but faster and safer.

Be safe out there folks.

oh and since Halloween is close: I did drove in 1.5 hour of low visibility mist....

Yup, a power nap.
If only people in rest area realize at 1am others don't want to listen to whatever high volume AM radio.....

Yep like others have said, sleep, music and leave windows open.

longest without stopping? I drove from Myrtle beach, SC to Richmond, VA without stopping to pee! I just watered my mouth without drinking water. Took me 6 hours (330 miles) in a toyota yaris, I probably [censored] some people off by going 65 MPH on 95 N. I could have drove straight home to DC and without stopping to fuel!
