When they changed the spec they called out MS-10902 or Rotella T6 5W-40, only concern I would have for 15W-40 don't use it below 40*F ambient temp.
I've run 15W-40 in my Ecodiesel in the middle of summer, no concern of cold starting. They specify 5W-40 it can be used year around in US Climate, easy decision.

Just for reference, the Red Line product in question is neither technically CJ-4 or CK-4, as per the API web site. Of course, that doesn't mean it's not suitable.

I suspect that's why we haven't had much change between their CJ-4 and CK-4. If they believe their product to already be suitable for CK-4, there's no point in changing it.
