Hey all,

I've done a little searching and I see that the Fram Ultra XG9688 that my Evo is spec'd for is similar in dimension to the XG3593A, as well as the XG7317. I'm considering the 7317 for better clearance to my aftermarket oil lines, but the XG3593A should fit also anyway, given that I've been running the Amsoil EA15k20 in the past with no issue. Does anyone know what the 'A' at the end of the XG3593A stands for?

It typically means that there was a change to the design, so instead of making it a new filter number, they added the "A" to the end of it's number.

thanks a ton - guess that settle's that. will give the xg3593a a shot!
